Considering Steve’s passion for geography, it is not surprising that despite his formal studies in Law (McGill - Montreal) and Economics (UBC -Vancouver), his career path took him to the “geography of business”. That is, in Economic Development and Direct International Investment.  Passionate about outdoors and hiking, Steve considers himself as a Sherpa for strategic initiative and investment in business. Steve is a forward thinker that loves to constantly push forward existing business models. Acknowledging that “pain is inevitable but suffering is optional”, Steve’s strategic outlook is deeply rooted in the reality of operations.  

Steve has more than 22 years of experience in Economic Development. Since 2008, he has been overseeing a dedicated Finance Montreal team to develop North American and Global Delivery Centers in Financial services. He effectively guides clients in the definition of new target operating models bringing together COO Strategy, IT Operating Models, Sourcing and Vendor Management, working closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk, IT and Transformation teams. He also works with Finance Montreal Directors and the Quebec Ministry of Finance to develop and implement long term goals and strategies for Montreal’s largest and most-established industry - financial services.   

Open-minded, welcoming to all with a broad interest and culture spanning from cross-country skiing to professional sports and the arts. Steve is a well versed international traveller and a proud family man and father.
